Functional Mushrooms
Lion's Mane (Hericium erinaceus) — Fruiting Body Extract
The neurotrophic mushroom. Focus on hericenones + erinacines content.
About this product
Hot-water + dual-extracted lion's mane fruiting body. The compounds with the most published research — hericenones (in fruiting body) and erinacines (in mycelium-on-grain) — both appear in dual extracts. Look for products that disclose beta-glucan content (>30% by weight is the bar for 'real' mushroom extract vs grain filler).
Ingredients
- Lion's mane fruiting body extract (8:1 dual extraction)
Suggested use
500-1000 mg daily with food. Most clinical research on cognitive endpoints used 1,000-3,000 mg/day for 12-16 weeks.
